Shuttle Services

We offer shuttle services to the oil and gas such as the movement of crude oil, and other petroleum products between production sites and onshore facilities or other vessels. These services are crucial for the efficient and safe transportation of hydrocarbons, especially in regions where pipelines are not feasible or when additional transportation capacity is needed.

Specifically, we provide:

    • Shuttle Tankers: These are the primary vessels used in marine shuttle services. They are specifically designed to transport oil and gas from offshore production facilities, such as Floating Production Storage and Offloading units (FPSOs), to onshore refineries, storage terminals, or other tankers. Shuttle tankers are equipped with advanced positioning systems to allow safe loading and unloading in challenging sea conditions.
    • Support Vessels: In addition to the main shuttle vessels, support vessels such as tugs and offshore supply vessels (OSVs) assist in operations, including mooring, towing, and providing supplies and crew changes.

Our operational Process involves

    • Loading at Offshore Facilities: Shuttle tankers or LNG carriers moor or dynamically position themselves near offshore production platforms, FPSOs, or FLNG units. The oil or gas is then transferred via flexible hoses or loading arms.
    • Transportation: Once loaded, the shuttle vessel transports the cargo to its destination. The journey may vary in length, from short coastal trips to longer ocean crossings, depending on the location of the production site and the destination terminal.
    • Unloading: At the destination, the cargo is offloaded to onshore storage facilities, refineries, or other tankers for further distribution.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Marine shuttle operations adhere to strict international and local regulations, including those set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), to ensure environmental protection and safety.

Some of the Advantages of Marine Shuttle Services are:

  1.
    • Flexibility: Shuttle services offer greater flexibility compared to pipelines, as they can serve multiple offshore installations and transport oil and gas to various locations.
    • Scalability: The number of shuttle tankers can be adjusted based on production levels, making it easier to scale operations up or down as needed.
    • Access to Remote Locations: Shuttle vessels can access offshore fields that are located far from the coast or in deep water, where pipelines might be impractical or too costly to install.
